Our supplier in Indonesia uses the fair trade premium amount to support developing rural infrastructure such as roads, tracks, schools and other community development programs to improve working safe and quality life for farmers and the community as a whole.
In 2019 they helped to replace containers of hollow bamboo tubes for food grade plastic containers to collect the coconut sap. These containers are more hygienic and easier to clean and this led to increased productivity.
